Bronze. The front with figure of Admiral Vernon, the outer inscribed "Admiral Vernon Took Porto Bello". The rear showing six ships blockade of Porto Bello, outer inscribed "With Six Ships Only Nov 22 1739". A hole passed through for wear as a medal. Well worn and light surface pitting.
